Dixin Luo is an Assistant Professor at Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China. Her research is dedicated to developing robust and generalizable machine learning models and algorithms that can tackle challenging real-world problems. She has been concentrating on several research topics, including multi-modal learning, sequential data analysis, and artificial intelligence for healthcare. In terms of methodology, she is fascinated by computational optimal transport, temporal point processes, and their applications in various domains.

Dr. Luo is a proud graduate of Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), where she completed her PhD and BE in Electronic Engineering in 2016 and 2010, respectively. During her studies, she was under the joint supervision of Professors Wenjun Zhang (SJTU), Hongyuan Zha (Georgia Tech), and Xiaokang Yang (SJTU). After that, she spent four fantastic years at University of Toronto and Duke University as a postdoctoral fellow.
